My husband is elderly and gets easily confused when outside his home comfort zone. We were directed by his doctor to get a blood test taken at Tri-Health hospital. We arrived at the hospital and registered in the 1st floor lobby. My husband was instructed to push the button on the wall behind him to open doors leading to the lab. He didn't understand the instructions so I tried to help. I was told quite sternly to have a seat in the lobby, I was not permitted to enter the hospital interior. I informed the registrar lady that he needed assistance, he couldn't navigate the hospital without help. She told me to have a seat in the lobby and that my husband would be watched (she sat down at her desk with her back to him after opening the doors for him to enter into the hospital. I waited in the lobby for nearly an hour for my husband to return and was starting to get concerned. Normally blood tests take about 10 minutes. My phone rang, I answered, it was my husband asking where I was. I told him that I was still in the lobby where we came in. He said OK and hung up the phone. About 5 minutes later he showed up (coming from a different direction than where he had left from. He was accompanied by a hospital employee. He had been found wandering around the hospital trying to find his way back to the lobby where he had left me. The hospital employee said that he was confused and didn't know where he had left me. If I could give this hospital less than a 1 star rating I would do that. Unfortunately I need to check the 1 star before I can write a review. I hope I never need to go to this hospital for anything again. Actually I don't think I ever will.
