Review of A Leap of Taste

A bit too much attention paid to expensive, pretentious merchandise (think Patagonia and Yeti and 6 different LEAP stickers?) and too little time spent preparing quality food and beverage. I found a Leap of Taste to be quite underwhelming. It was expensive, there was a line and, in my opinion, the food and the coffee took longer than it should have so wasn t very hot. The coffee/lattes were not good - I would think those are rather hard for a breakfast place not to do well. I had a turtle cookie that I would describe more as chocolate chip oatmeal which was a disappointment. I had a Russian Tea Cake that was very good but cost $1.50 for about 4 in diameter.
I m giving A Leap Of Taste 3 because of the rustic interior, the potential, the Saturday Farmer s Market across the street and the quaint location.
Bottom line: Go down the street. There were a few other cute breakfast places.
EDIT JULY 13: A Leap of Taste made a very professional good-faith effort by contacting me and apologizing for my less than satisfactory visit and providing a refund. I was very impressed, and will give A Leap if Taste another try.
