I had my baby January 2015. We had to stay in the hospital a few days longer due to her bilirubin levels being very low. The staff wasn't very friendly save for one nurse who was really sweet. My baby was taken to the daycare whilst I went to shower one morning.Upon returning to my room I notified the CNA that I was back in the room and to go ahead and return my baby-per the nurses instructions. I waited for 45mins and nobody brought her to me. I then went to the daycare myself only to find my then 3day old baby had been stripped down to her diaper and was asleep on a soaking wet pad, visibly shaking, The nurse in that daycare was so engrossed in a magazine she didn't even notice the condition my baby's sleeping lil container was in. Upon realising I was upset about my baby's condition she tried to quickly rectify the error but it was useless. I tried not to be the typical angry black woman but I was more hurt and sad with how I found my baby, I couldn't imagine what would have happened to her had I left her in the hospital to come home, yet I left her for about 10 mins being there at the same hospital with her and she was still neglected. My nurse did her best to apologise and calm me down( as my blood pressure which had been ok throughout my stay there had gone up so much) as she felt bad that this happened. The nurse in the daycare at that time never once apologised to me, all she did was smile and try and act like everything was ok whenever she saw me. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anybody.
