Shoreline employee Brian Fiacco came to our house last summer to give us an estimate for our pool renovation . The proposal was way over our budget and we told him what our budget was . He said that he can take this job as a side job and meet our budget . And that is when our hellish journey started . He asked me to pick a liner color and asked for money to order it which we paid . He , in his his own email in writing said that he ordered the liner and it was supposed to be delivered next week , that was last Fall . He also said that we will have to do the liner now next spring since the temperature was too low. Fast forward to this spring and summer , the end of June , we ended up firing him after dealing with him since this March trying to get an update on our previously ordered liner and finally realizing that he had been totally lying to us all along . It turned out that he had taken our money and never ordered the liner last fall . I asked him several times in emails when the liner was going to be in and he totally ignored my question for several weeks and finally admitted that it was not ordered and he had to come to take measurements . He used Covid as en excuse for months and months this year for not to finish and deliver the job since he was super busy with his real job at Shoreline at totally pushed as aside , excuses after excuses for not showing up , every time something was up or wrong him or his family . He left our pool uncovered for over a month , a giant concrete hole and I asked him to cover it back up since there was no progress and I was just so worried that my two 4 and 6 year old daughters may fall into it . He did not even care . He totally ignored and never came to even cover it . My husband had to do it on his own . We finally woke up and we ended up firing him from the job the end of June . Enough was enough . I contacted Shoreline s owner David and explained him in an email how we got burned by his employee and what had happened . He told me that he was going to get back to us shortly , and we never even once got a phone call even after my husband asking for a quick 5 minute call . He basically did not want to get involved . I am in disbelief that such big and reputable companies like this can take no ownership for their own employees mess up like this . Total scam . I am extremely disappointed as a consumer that we spent so much money and had to go through with such stress to a point where we were even threatened to be pressed charges by Shoreline s employee Brian . We are still struggling to get our liner to this day and forced to sing a waiver by these people . Please be aware of what you are getting into before you work with them .
