Unbelievable story and must visit. If there is only one stop you make in Barcelona then it is here. You can spend hours here looking at the building from the outside, experience inside and the basement, which has exhibitions showing the history of the project, a store and a short movie. A hundred years of thought has gone into this place so everything fits carefully in its place. I highly recommend the audio guide as you will get a detailed explanation of all aspects of the building. Without it you wont have any clue!

The Sagrada is foremost a church and reverent place. While you can come here just for the architecture, which is truly spectacular, it is being built as a place of worship. If you do not understand reverence or respect then it is better for everyone that you go to some other tourist attraction.

You need to dress modestly to go into some areas. Ladies should wear dresses or skirts.

Queues to this location are very long. I recommend you buy tickets online to avoid queues. Be aware of pickpickets.
