This was my second time taking the train from Durango to Silverton. As always, the trip was gorgeous, but both times there were major delays on the trip back to Durango from Silverton with little to no explanation given turning a three hour ride back into five. It makes for a very exhausting trip back. I would recommend taking the train one way and maybe taking the shuttle bus back.
