I don't know how they can legally call this a "solution" when they just give you like a 20 dollar gas card and say good luck. They don't even allow safe parking in that gigantic parking area they have. They at LEAST don't have to put up a piercing alarm that goes off at 10 PM every night to deter people from parking there to sleep. Treating DV victims like rats! California is good about driving people crazy with sleep deprivation!
Pathetic excuse for help. I've had to escape my husband multiple times with my kids (if they'd stop asking him for flocking child support maybe ... just maybe ... he'd leave us alone!! ). But, I digress...and this place was by far the least helpful and out of ANY state I've had to hide in with my kids, California has been the worst.
They were worse than even the South AND the Midwest. Sad. So so sad. Those people are broke. But at least they show compassion. I've not even seen compassion since stepping foot in this state!
There have been some cold, ruthless people here. Makes me feel like I'm always dealing with my ex. Should say something about Californians, and a domestic violence center if I'm comparing their attitudes, their approach, and their lack of empathy to a psychopath.
