I took my truck to a branch called Rivertown Toyot...

I took my truck to a branch called Rivertown Toyota in Columbus Ga for a full inspection. Now this was around one week before I brought it to Eddy's. The inspection was handled by someone who had 37 years of experience working at that location and was their "master technician". I knew prior to bringing it in, it had been in an undocumented wreck at some point (not anywhere near totaled(so the master tech claimed)) and he told me it looked good. Minor fender damage that had been replaced and taken care of prior to the purchase of the truck. He sat me down and explained the truck still was under full warranty due to no documentation of any past damage and that there would be no issues bringing it in in the future to have any work done. Fast forward to today when I brought the truck to Eddy's for an oil change and to look at a very minor noise during steering. I got a call around an hour later stating how my truck had been "smashed" and the fender was "mangled" on the inside and put back together poorly. I was already aware the fender didn't look factory new (on the inside of the hood). They told me simply for a diagnostic of what the noise is would cost $112. I told them to hold off and I went back into the store to discuss what the issue was. He told me the trucks warranty was void. It took the rep a few minutes to finally explain to me that HIS "master tech" said that they couldn't do any warranty work on it. Not only would they not do warranty work on it, he put it in the trucks notes that no Toyota should do warranty work on it. Now this was irritating because it had been less than a week in-between visits to Toyota. I thought well dang maybe the truck was worse off than I thought. I decided to give Riverside Toyota back in Columbus a call and see what they thought about the situation. The rep at riverside reassured me the truck was perfectly fine and still fell under warranty. He also stated that it was not only possible but highly likely that the service rep at Eddy's was not within his means to void my entire warranty. He can however refuse warranty work which I would totally understand but that isn't what happened. He intentionally told me that the warranty was now void and there was nothing he could do about it. Now look I can get behind if one Toyota dealership wants to refuse warranty work. Got it. Not a big deal. But the dishonesty and rudeness of the rep is what upset me. I've never written a review on anyone's business or anything in the past and I don't find myself to be a difficult dude, but man that was an irritating transaction. I'm not a mechanic and I'm not going to pretend I know a lot of what goes into that job but do know there are far better places for your money.

Got a free car wash though so that was cool.
