This was my first stay at Shangri-La and will definitely be my last! On check-in I was told $100 would be held for incidentals. On check- out the $827 owing was paid in full and I specifically asked when the $100 would be taken off hold. I was told within 10 minutes. Today I discovered $1015 was still on hold after a call to my Bank who advised me to contact Shangri-La and request them to fax a release to the Bank. I was initially told the release would take 8-10 days until I threatened to take the matter further which I was fully prepared to do on principle. I had access to other funds but what if I didn t? It s not good enough Shangri-La- being deliberately lied to leaves a bitter taste!!
