Appalling and frustrating first impression.

We arrived at the Time Out Markets at 11am, an hour after it opened, starving. Despite this, the first seven stalls that we visited were not yet open, nor did they have opening hours visible.

What this meant was that you d stand at the counter hoping to order, only to have staff studiously ignore you until you attracted their attention (at which point they informed you they were closed). It was very disappointing and unprofessional.

Additionally, there were very few gluten free options for those who follow such a diet. The prices were also far in excess of what I have come to expect in Portugal.

Ultimately, this may be a good place to lose a few euro and take some Instagram snaps, but don t go there hungry... or before midday.
