Well, I read these reviews before we stayed at the Northland Prairie Inn in Morris. I admit, I was skeptical that we'd have a good stay. I have to say that I left the hotel very happy after our stay.

When I arrived, the young lady at the desk was extremely pleasant. Even though she said that she was new, she was able to answer all of our questions and get us checked in without issue. We were charged exactly what we were quoted and did not see any odd or unauthorized charges on our credit card.

When we arrived at the room, I double checked the sheets, under the beds, and in the bathroom for those same items that other people have mentioned and I found none of the same problems. Our sheets were clean, there was absolutely no dust under the beds, and our bathroom was clean and smelled as though it had been sanitized recently. We had a sufficient amount of towels and when we called and requested a few more, we were pleased when they showed up to our room within a few minutes of our request.

Our kids loved the pool area, although the water seemed a little cooler than I would have liked. My only thought was that it was so cold outside, with all of the windows in that room, maybe that it was harder to heat...Not sure. Definitely not something that would keep me from returning.

We had lunch in the Ranch House restaurant and we found that their prices were very reasonable and the portions were large. We had no complaints at all about the food, the staff, or the accommodations. Overall, we were very pleased.

When we checked out, we found out that the hotel has a new manager who is making tons of changes. Seems like those changes are for the better from what I've read. The Prairie Inn has definitely been upgrading! We'll stay again!
