As is the case at most nursing homes, there is no accountability for stolen articles of clothing. I guess I foolishly expected better at this facility. Unmarked items are sent to the lost and found but if it isn't there, it's considered a mysterious act of DE-combustion. You get the "well, that's just tough" treatment with no offer of compensation and no accountability for the thieves on their staff who are the ONLY ones handling soiled laundry. My advice---if you're taking a loved one to this facility take only cheap, second hand nightgowns you don't care about losing because it's unlikely you'll ever see them again. And DON'T take anything of value whether it's clothing or any other type of personal item.

The fact that the items went missing wasn't as much a surprise to me as the attitude of the management. There was no good will offer of compensation or any other measure of good faith. It was just "gee, that's tough--it's YOUR loss" and that was it.
