Wonderful park on the outskirts of Alexandria, you wouldn't guess at all that you were so close to civilization. It's a wetland reserve, so it has water level control. High level of wildlife sightings. Trex walkways since about 2000, last restoration was in 2013. Virginia has plenty of well-maintained parks and this is one of them!
