Erie and Niagara Insurance Association Review

Signed up with them for home insurance. They botched their assessment and weeks after I paid a down payment they asked for significant more money on the premiums... Because they screwed up. Very unfair, backstabbing company. You make a mistake you don't make your customer pay the price. Horrible business model.

Terrible service and they don't care one bit about their customers. They can't even be courteous enough to provide a bill so you know when or what to pay, they will just not send one and then try to drop you for non-payment or stick it to you in fees on the next one they don't send a bill for. I've dealt with some awful companies and this is one of the worst.

Filed a claim with them for a DEAD tree branch falling and striking my vehicle doing over 2100.00 in damage. They out sourced to a independent adjuster who came and took pictures of the wrong car without notifying me that he was coming. When he questioned me about the incident he must have had the wrong impression and said it was a windy day. Well it wasn t, in fact we had a hurricane come through that knocked down many living trees but the one that the branch fell from made it through unscathed. They don t care to take care of people and their losses.

My father had insurance underwritten by Erie & Niagara Insurance on the family farm that I inherited. There have been two outstanding claims for well over a year that I have yet to get any official response to. One of the claims was for $35,000+ in personal items and farm equipment that was stolen and the other was for a 4-bedroom farmhouse that burned. When I asked my lawyer what to expect from this company I was told they do not pay major claims without being sued. To date he appears to have been right as I haven't gotten any response to my claims or communications.

Low rates only matter if the insurance is good.

If I could have given them ZERO stars, I would have!

I'm military and My house was broke into while I was away. And if it was of value it was taken. At least about 18k. They told me I wasn't covered because my house was vacant for over 30 days while I was in training out of state for 45 days

Had them for 20 years. Came out inspected our property not the house. Then they cancelled us

My father had them as insurance and water pipe burst while he was on vacation last year and over 100,000 gallons of water leaked and froze in walls. Entire house has mold and water damage and insurance refuses to pay. Absolute worst customer service. Do not use this company.

Like pulling teeth to get a claim paid. Don't take my work for it , read the other people's reviews on Google & Facebook before you deal with this company.

We have been with Erie niagara for over 20 years. Never filed a claim. They recently came out for an inspection inside and out. Not picked everything. Why does galvanized pipe in a house have on my fire insurance????

Worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. My home burnt down on December 10, 2017. To this day we have not been reimbursed for anything! Their license to do business should be revoked.

This insurance company is negligent in taking responsibility for legitimate claims and professional accommodation to their clients.
