Slow service, poor communication, high prices, and an incomplete job.

I made an appointment online two weeks or so prior to dropping my car off to have a new key made and the battery replaced. The dealer did not order parts in advance, resulting in a three week wait without my vehicle. I called to ask after status multiple times only to be routed to AutoNation's call center, who had little to no connection to the dealer, no idea what was going on, and could not give me a price quote.

When I arrived to pick up my car it was dirty, none of the settings had been restored from the battery replacement (e.g., date/time - yes, it's a little thing but at $500 for a battery O'Reilly sells for $129 I expect more), and the power steering fluid was too low for it to be driven (indicating they hadn't done any sort of multi-point courtesy inspection, which is standard at most dealers). I had to wait another 90 minutes for them to actually get my car ready and roadworthy. When I arrived home I found the interior trim around the driver seat hadn't been reinstalled (removing it is part of the battery replacement), resulting in another 45 minutes of me clipping my seat trim back together myself.

I let my service advisor (Dave) know I wasn't satisfied with the experience, and was offered a small discount off a future repair. It's a thin gesture with no cost to the dealer, and considering their prices are so high and service so poor it's meaningless.
