RENOVATION MESS! UNFRIENDLY STAFF! Booked to stay ...

RENOVATION MESS! UNFRIENDLY STAFF! Booked to stay one night, Tuesday. Upon arrival, doorman and staff didn't greet. Due to renovation, check in counter was as if curbside check in. Fortunate for them, it was a slow evening.

The check-in process was horrible! I booked through a third party, under my husbands travel partner, the room was prepaid, with my card, due to a hotel "policy" they are not able to check me in because my husband did not accompany me. I stayed three nights at a Hilton in Nashville a week prior, again, through a third party, my husband DID NOT accompany me, and I didn't have this check in issue or hotel policy thrown at my face. I told them, I would not be able to get a hold of my husband he was in a meeting at time of my checking in. I also stated that I'm a Hilton Honor and would be happy to cancel the other reservation and re-booked, but because "hotel policy" the room booked was non-refundable. I was SOL. They had me wait and wouldn't check me in until they heard from my husband. He eventually called back and the manager, Carrie got on the phone and didn't ask for his name or verified who he was, she went straight to stating the hotel policy that they couldn't check me in without his authorization!!! He could have been my boss!

The white sheets were rough and dingy. The toilet didn't flush due to a water line being worked on during the renovation. If I needed to use the restroom, I had to walk to a nearby shopping district to use the public restroom! Horrible! The manager Carrie and her staff need to do better! I will NOT stay at this particular establishment. POORLY managed!
