Nearly three weeks ago we received a parcel addres...

Nearly three weeks ago we received a parcel addressed to my partner from computer centre. We opened the box to find a computer inside that belongs to someone else who lives no where near us. Lucky for this person we are honest people so immediately try and contact the company. They re hard to get ahold of. After my partner finally got someone to speak to to handle the case, the computer still has not been collected nearly 3 weeks later, even though he has called and texted.

1. We have never used this company before. How do you have my partners full name, address and phone number to put on the consignment note?

2. Some poor guys personal computer (probably with lots of person info on it) is just sitting in our house - I m sure he s wondering where his property is? We also now know his full name and address (unfortunately not his phone number otherwise we would call him).

These are both serious GDPR issues and we d like to know how this has happened. Was this the fault of computer centre or the fault of TNT?

I would seriously advise people not to use this company if you want to keep your personal information private.
