I went here by car from the Nagano Station and it's very convenient by using private car actually.

You have to prepare for a bit of hiking (30 minutes) from the parking lot to the entrance gate of the monkey park and hot spring. The place is so beautiful and you can see many monkeys free roaming the mountain. Seeing monkeys in hot spring is also unforgettable experience.
