I've volunteered at Austin Animal Center for ten years as a dog walker, and highly recommend it if you're looking for a way to stay in shape, contribute to the community, and meet precious pups. I also foster kittens for the shelter, which is a great way to help AAC handle the influx of baby felines in the spring and summer. Austin is lucky to have such a well-managed city shelter.
