We visited the museum during the Covid crysis so we were in luck to not having a lot of people around us. No waiting time, no crowds anywhere. We had more then 5 minutes to take pictures with Mona Lisa completly alone. I am sure that in normal conditions the waiting will be painfuly long. The museum has a rich collection and it is impossible just to walk through it in less then a day so I would suggest to prepare a plan what you want to see. The audioguide is ok but the maps could be missleading.
