I wish I had read the reviews on Trust Pilot. A terrible firm to deal with if you have a problem. The laptop I purchased said it had a Windows 10 operating system, yet under Windows it clearly states "Back Up and Restore Windows 7 " had over 24 hours of updates, which resulted in programmes I use crashing. They want to charge up to a 25% restocking fee, plus I have to pay the return postage.
Contacted Which Magazine's Legal Dept, who informed me under "The Consumer Contracts Regulations of 2013" consumers have a 14 day cooling off period. Regardless of their T&C's, which cannot supercede the law of the land, I am entitled to return and get a full refund.
Many many e-mails later, they still insist they will charge me 25% of the purchase price to re-stock.
Have been advised by Which Legal Dept, to send them a letter of intent to proceed with legal proceedings. As the laptop appears not to be as desribed, I'm entitled to reject the good under "The Consumer Rights Act of 2015" All I can say is do your homework before you buy from this company, and read the reviews from many sites, which give a much clearer picture of the problems you will have if trying to return anything.
