Worst place I've ever dealt with as far as buying ...

Worst place I've ever dealt with as far as buying a used car. First thing, the battery took a dump on me the first day I had the car. Took a bit of arguing with them to get me a new battery but they did. Now...I bought the car on July 28th. Fast forward to now, had to take car in because the service engine light came on and it was very obviously misfiring. Here's where things get screwy. BOTH shops I took the car to gave me the same diagnosis, the engine is totally shot and needs to be replaced. This car has 114k miles on it. It's knocking and making a ton of noise coming from the lower part of the engine. 4/8 cylinders were misfiring, they changed the ignition coil packs and it made the problem EVEN WORSE. So I ask the mechanic if this is a problem that would have come up within the less than 60 days I've had the car, mechanic says no way, no way in hell whoever had the car before me didn't know about this. So then he proceeds to show me something else...he pulls the dipstick out of the engine and it's covered in this thick, grayish, metallic fluid. Definitely doesn't look like any oil I've ever seen in my life and the mechanic at the NAPA place told that it appeared to him that some type of sealant, like something you'd put in to stop a leak, was put in the engine to mask the noise it was making, because it didn't start making this noise until a week or two after I got the car.

So I start dialogue with Bob, the owner of Certified Auto. Rude right from the get go. He tells me the car was inspected before it was sold to me. I tell him about the odd substance in the engine and that I was told it appears that someone put something in it to cover the noise for a short time. I never said HE put it in there and even pointed out that the sticker from the previous oil change was from HIS mechanic in Bondurant. So what does Bob do? He continues to accuse me of sabotaging the car I JUST BOUGHT!!! Why in the hell would I sabotage a vehicle I need to get around?!? Then he starts talking about how I have driven for Uber as though that has anything to do with this. Next thing I know, he's telling me that this is my fault because I didn't purchase the extended warranty they sell...but here's the thing, I specifically asked the sales person Carlos if this 05 Cadillac Deville had a warranty available, and I was told no, one wasn't available on this vehicle. Now had I been offered one, I would've been an idiot to not get it on an 11 year old Caddy. Needless to say these people are SHADY as all get out. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! Not to mention, I got the caddy because they sold a truck I was looking at out from under me when they knew I had a loan approved for it...worst place I've ever been. Absolute worst. I'll never do business there again and will tell EVERYONE I know not to as well. Don't let these guys f**k you like they did me. I've already filed a complaint with the better business bureau and are taking other steps to fix this as well.
