Lake Terrace (Bria on the Lake) is a craphole that is more like a dog pound that a place for human beings. My husband has reversible dementia and a poor quality of life, as he is being denied medical care, physical theorpy, cognitive theorpy and a good quality of life in what could be the last years of his life. The extent of his existence is being wheeled in front of a TV set. It takes them up to five minutes to answer the phone - and this produces the most anguish for us.

Lake Terrace is working to keep my husband locked up on the second floor. Our home is near the airport, but Lake Terrace is on the east side, four blocks south of St. Mary's. This is an 11 mile driving distance for me through downtown Milwaukee. This situation of distance is what is reminiscent of what is done to convicted felons who are sent to a prison far away from home and family. I have been trying for 3 months to have my husband transferred closer to home and they are working against it. I have also been trying to get my husband to an eye doctor for two months and they seem to be "forgetting about it." Lake Terrace fights to keep my husband, who has reversible dementia, dehumanized and with no medical and cognitive treatment!

Your loved one's belongs are not secure, they can and will be stolen, and this is the most painful of all. I bought my husband a pair of pajamas for Christmas and they were STOLEN the first week he was at Lake Terrace. I'd like to buy my husband new clothes, but they will go missing! It takes up to five minutes for them to answer the phone. I was told my husband has the right to his own phone. My husband cannot go out onto the patio. We should be reimbursed for stolen and missing clothes, and if I buy my husband new clothes, I will inventory his clothes and if any are missing, I will demand reimbursement and I might even call the police and file a report.

Lake Terrace (Bria on the Lake) is going to find that I will fight for our dignity as human beings and as a married couple of 32 years. If you really love your loved one, DO NOT send them to this dehumanizing dog pound. It's no place for humans!
