My very first experience with a Kizpassion event was at a Monday Night Kizomba (MNK). It was an unforgettable experience from the moment I came in. I was greeted kindly by Kizpassion himself (Teevee Aguirre). I will admit I was a little nervous because the only experience I had with Kizomba/UrbanKiz dance was..well, watching videos online. They offer an hour FREE class prior to the social with experienced instructors though. I learned so much just in that one hour and was hooked. Everyone in the community was very welcoming and were open to teaching the beginner (me). I danced the night away and I knew I had found my new dance familia. I felt comfortable being a beginner at something new. I was intrigued by the beautiful dance and music. I HAD to learn more. I took a class the following Wednesday at Cliques studio and meet more of the Community. I ve been addicted ever since and take classes as much as my schedule allows (and haven t missed a MNK).
