Hire all the time to leverage the current roster of sales floor reps. You are expendable no matter what. They still capitalize on your work by passing your progress onto someone else once you are fired. It is similar to themes talked about in books about surplus value, the method by which the company earns money off of your hard work when you are no longer employed by them. With a commercial, they advertise 33% more income in retirement! Callers, after viewing the commercial, will call in to get a free book. One question that can never be answered is: how do you quantify 33% more income? Compared to what? It is simply a marketing buzzphrase. If you don't have money or spill the beans to them about the money you do have, they will not send out the book. You can call it falls advertisement or bait the switch but these older people don't understand when you tell them you will. If you are a potential client, I would pay very close attention to how a company treats their employees. What they do when no one is looking could be worse especially with someone's money they don't truly know. To them you are simply a number.
