Check in starts at 4pm, but it was nice that when I arrived around 1pm I was able to get a room. It's great that you can use the self check-in but what wasn't for me was that the room they had was for 2 double beds when my reservation was for a king bed. So, I still had to wait in line to speak with someone. While at it, I also asked if they had any available rooms with views of the strip, but was informed it would be extra cost so instead I was offered pool view. The view was beautiful, the room was pretty big and clean. It's just the bathroom lights gave it a very vintage feel since it was dim and yellow. Before getting my room key, the front desk also had me sign for "security checks", which meant they will randomly knock and ask guests to open door to make sure you aren't doing anything illegal. That sounded bit alarming. The one thing that really sucks is that you have to pay resort fee for $37 plus tax a day while Paris hotel is undergoing constructions that restricts you to get what you are paying for! Such as using the gym or having water a certain time of the day(10:30am to 3:30pm)! If you wanted to use the gym, you have to go outside and borrow another resort like Bally's(which I found so inconvenient)
