I needed a cake and left getting it to the last minute because I'm a doofus who doesn't know anything about buying cakes. I went in on Thursday totally unprepared so far as color/flavor preference and what I wanted the cake to "say." (Happy Birthday, maybe?) The Blue Note folks were very patient and helpful even though they were clearly busy doing a fancy cake tasting for some other customers. I didn't buy a cake that day but I left feeling encouraged. The next day I decided to get flowers (her favorite) and color coordinate the cake to that. I called Blue Note that morning and sent them a picture of the floral arrangement. I was able to pick up a beautiful 'cake bar' the same day. T'was delicious, too.
