I was there off-season, but it was very crowded and incredibly hot (although there were some ventillators). The headset of the audioguide is at 1cm from one's ears that means you hear others talking and the guides talking to their group. And the music played in the cathedral doesn't help hearing the text. On the bright side the Caravaggio pictures are awesome, so it was worth the pain.
