Neetal Timble Review of Hyatt Regency Maui

We stayed here from March 21 through 28th. The hotel is pretty nice and we were here for Reach for the stars but had came few days earlier. The location and beach walk was nice and the atrium botanical garden, penguins and the swan lagoon was very relaxing.
There were several negatives though. There is just not enough pool chairs as all of them were occupied by 10 am. We were just shaking our heads as how a Hotel of this size had such a limited number pool chairs. There are other areas such as kids pool slides but everywhere it was packed and so except for 1 day we just could not find an open spot to relax by the pool.
We were in the main atrium tower. The rooms were very run down with the carpet and Furniture had a very worn out look and in desperate need of remodeling. The contrast to nice garden and swan lagoon is pretty stark.
The housekeeping was also a headache as few times our room was not cleaned and had to call them multiple times to have the room serviced.
So disappointed in the hotel room furnishings and worn out feel which forex not feel like a 4 Star Resort.
There are stores such as Macy s etc inside the hotel but the carpet near the sitting area where they have portrait store had clutter garbage all over which tells me that they are not being cleaned regularly.
The coffee shop in the hotel was cramped and pricey.
Overall the area is nice but the boardwalk is just too crowded as you bump onto other walkers as you walk through and not a relaxing walk.
I would not recommend
