We have just come back from our one week vacation ...

We have just come back from our one week vacation at Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort. It was a great week in a great hotel. As it has been mentioned in other reviews by other visitors, the valet and the front desk team gave us a warm welcome and we were allowed to move into our room earlier than assumed. (of course due to availability)
ROOM
Our room was on the ground floor pool facing with a nice terrace. The room can be separated through a sliding door and you'd have 2 rooms for totally 4 people. The room was very spacious with a clean and nice bathroom. The room had all necessary amenities, such as locker, mini bar, TV with many international TV channels, bath room items, ironing device etc.
WIFI
In the room we had a good broadband wifi connection whereas in the public areas a free wifi did not exist. Only in the lobby area a wifi connection exists which was not necessarily a strong wifi.
POOL
The pool is pretty big and has also shaded areas for people who do not necessarily want to stay under the burning sun. The pool has a bar which plays daily trendy songs. It might not be the right place if you want to read a book or just want to relax, but for people who want to do some water sports, it is definitely the right spot. Daily the animation team organised either water volleyball or some water gym or water hand ball. The pool has also some shallow areas for children or people who do not swim well.
BEACH
The beach is very nice, with lots of long chairs and a grill restaurant with beach view. In hot season like now in July it is not really a good place to stay as the humidity is making you suffer if you do not stay in the water. The beach is clean and well maintained. For people who want to do some water sports, it is the right place as the hotel offers various sea water sports equipment.
RESTAURANTS
The hotel has in total 3 specialty restaurants and one all day dining restaurant which offers the breakfast and the dinner. To our bad luck one of the specialty restaurants was closed due to renovation but the remaining restaurants were more than enough.
What we appreciated most was that the all day dining restaurant did not have an excess of food selection which you see in many 5 star hotels where most of the food becomes waste. The restaurant offers a good amount of different dishes including healthy dishes and the staff is careful when serving food from the counter.
KIDS CLUB
The hotel offers an all day kids club with hourly different games and activities for children above 4 years. For younger kids an adult must accompany the child.
SPA
We did not use the hotel spa but we have visited the location. It looks nice with an indoor swimming pool and a pretty big gym.
NIGHT LIFE
Near the lobby you can enjoy a drink and life music on a daily basis. Right outside this bar you can enjoy a drink or two along with shisha.
The hotel has also a disco called BLISS which we have not visited, hence I cannot judge it.
All in all we have been very satisfied with the cleanliness of the facilities, the friendliness of the staff, the service the hotel offered. Definitely a place we will keep in mind for future reference.
