The theater itself is very nice but the choice of films is completely lacking. Every week I look to see if there's anything good playing, and 9 times out of 10 I'm disappointed. They have a sister theater Regal 8 which is at least 20 minutes away that has all the movies I'm interested in seeing. I don't know who makes the choices for which theaters get which films, but I wish they would take another look at the changing demographic in South Austin. I think it's time to start showing movies other than the boring Hollywood Blockbusters. It just may have something to do with the theater being less than busy whenever I do go there. Instead I'm forced to spend my money at the Violet or the Alamo when I'd rather be at Westgate. I just looked at the movies playing at Regal 8 and I want to see every one of them.
