Kavin Naidoo Review of Royal Palm Hotel

This hotel is rated 4 stars and is marketed that way. As with all things you pay a premium price for, you expect a certain minimum standard. It all looks pretty on the surface, at a fleeting glance, but then you pick up a little something and then you start to pay attention. At the outset, we didn't get the room type we asked for. That was resolved. The sofa was stained. It looked like bodily fluids in my opinion. There was no directory of services or a room service menu. The shower drain didn't flow properly, so we were in standing water for the stay. They tried to fix it. It didn't work. Not very hygienic. The walls had streaks on it, in the bathroom, like wet towels slammed against the wall and the resultant droplets rolling down. There was a similar effect on the elevator doors. Breakfast buffets should look presentable at all times until the window closes. The TV channels were very fuzzy. I had to switch the TV off. Exiting the parking each time was a hassle as the ticket only worked on entry. I just wasn't that comfortable with my stay here. I hope they pay some attention to detail going forward.
