The surfeit of fakes available all over the tourist shops in Russia, do take way from the grandeur of seeing the original Faberge eggs. But the craftsmanship is evident and though the tickets are a little pricier than I would have liked, I would still recommend the place.

Interestingly, the gift shop is reasonably priced and should definitely be on your shopping list.
