KIMEP can be safely called the leading university in Kazakhstan. For almost 25 years of activity, the University has graduated more than 11,000 bachelors and masters. Of the 167 faculty members of the University, representing 20 countries (including the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Italy and Russia), 61 hold Western doctoral degrees. The university actively cooperates with the business community, as well as with a large number of partners - well-known universities in North America, Europe and Asia; graduates successfully work in their specialty in leading companies or open their own business.
Today, the total number of students, undergraduates and doctoral students in all programs of the university exceeds 3000 people. Students come from 28 different countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, USA, UK, Germany, China and South Korea. The university has a North American education system, student organizations are actively developed, there is an extensive library fund, monumental buildings inherited from the former Higher Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR. In short, a student's dream. However, it is not cheap.
News agencies report that for a year of study under the bachelor's program, you need to pay a tidy sum of about 1,500,000-1,700,000 tenge per year. At the same time, it is impossible to obtain a state grant for studying at the University. However, for talented and academically successful students, KIMEP provides various types of financial support, including grants, discounts on tuition fees and a combination of studies with the work of an assistant at the university. Combined with funds provided by external sponsors, the total student support fund is approximately US $ 5 million per year.
