It took a while to figure out a way to sleep comfortably here. There's a Siberian winter quality comforter, for those who wish to sleep really, really hot and sweaty. This is probably why the sheets are not tucked in at the bottom of the bed, which seemed unusual at first, but now I think was thoughtfully designed to offer venting options, because you have to have your feet and arms and shoulders out from under the covers in order not to die from heat exhaustion. Still way too hot. No lighter blankets anywhere. Finally had to strip the duvet cover off the comforter, and was able to get almost 7 hours of restless sleep in a 8.5 hour block of time.
As to the recent renovations....drywall joint compound dried on the hvac unit, and distributed liberally on the carpets - or maybe that's paint. Caulk smeared on the wallpaper near the windows, where they caulked the windows really, really quickly. Whoever was responsible for punchlist items was MIA.
Staff was indeed friendly, but I wouldn't stay here again.
