Lived in Koreatown over a period of several years and in multiple locations near here, and I'm old enough to remember going there when I was a kid to buy clothing. The building which is now the Southwestern Law School's library is a magnificent example of Art Deco accented with large sections of copper on every floor, all of which has turned an almost supernatural shade of green over the decades. Whenever I see it two words immediately come to mind: "Gozer Worshippers."

At one time Deco buildings were the default on Wishing Blvd. This building and the nearby Wiltern Theater building are two rare remaining examples of the original 1920s style in commercial buildings on Wilshire. Head East on Wilshire from the Bullocks building just a few blocks and once you pass MacArthur Park there a still some shining examples of the style in residential apartment buildings (some of them having originally been built as hotels). But most of the beautiful commercial buildings on Wilshire, the department stores, office buildings, etc. are long gone (though there are still some stellar examples downtown). This building absolutely must be preserved.
