On the day 07.05. Our priest, who led us to a pilgrimage to Rome with 25 children, was not good because he lost consciousness and the ambulance from the Ospedale De NANCY took him away. When we secured the children, me and my colleague went after them.
Arriving there at 10.45, we were told that our priest had a stroke and that he needed surgery, so they transferred him to this San Camillo hospital on neurology D.E.A.
Arriving at the SC hospital at 11.20, the woman at the counter desk literally put us in the emergency reception, where we sat for about half an hour, and on each of our questions we got the answer to sit down. Finally, a sister comes and tells me to lie down on the bed and I wonder why?! She says, "Are you sick?" I went crazy at the moment. I explain to her why we're here and then she brings someone who barely speaks English and the only thing she tells us, is that we can't wait here but in the front room and someone will let us know shortly what's going on with our priest. It is regrettable that no one has ever asked the contact of the person accompanying him. After a long wait 7 hours, the only info we got at 7.30 pm was to do his tests and wait here until further notice. Too tired we went about 10.00 pm to the hotel, without any information on the health status of our priests, because there was no point in being there anymore. The other morning on 08.05., the two of us came and asked where our priest was, which ward, but they just walked us up and down. After almost three hours of wandering around the hospital up and down, we returned to the D.E.A. and talked about how we couldn't find him. Then the man who sat across from us, asked us if we were looking for a priest from Croazia, that he knew where he is and sent us to the 3rd floor. The woman at the info counter was shocked and said that they just had to look at the computer (but nobody did it), and she called the Doctor who operated on him 8extremelly nice dr). That's when we found out that he had actually been operated the day before at 4 pm, While we were waiting for news of his condition.
This hospital is maddness, I hope and praying a God, that he has a full care what he deserves and that he will be well soon enough to come Home! My grade is not for doctors, but for the staff who withheld information from us.
Shame on you!!! English language is the official world language, you have a City full of tourists and your employe s don t know a Word of it!!!
That day 07.05. in your hospital was a 'demonstration exercise in case of an big accident', which was watched by people from Ministero della Salute. I don't even know today, why I didn't react and ask them if this is the way to treat strangers and guests visiting to their City!
Everyone says that Croatian hospitals are bad, but God forbid you end up in someone else's country like one of these!
This was like a Horor movie!
