It was better when it was Dale Downie!! I received a recall on my 2018 Nissan Sentra and was advised by the Nissan customer service to call my local Nissan Dealer (Finch Nissan). Was told 4 different times that someone would call me back and never did. The recall was for intermittent brake lights and intermittent starting issues. I was told to bring my car in for a diagnostics appointment but was told that if my car came back fine I would have to pay for the diagnostic test. It is an intermittent problem as in doesn t happened all the time. Most of the time my car starts fine. If there is a safety issue with a car it should be fixed right away regardless if it s not showing broken right now!! What if something happens later? I understand that due to covid it is taking longer for them to get parts in to correct the issue but the recall states that a rental would be provided until parts come in at no cost to the customer so clearly it is an important recall. And it certainly did not say I would get charged to bring it in for diagnostics test. I don t really care about the rental I just want to make sure I m not driving around in a death trap. Not impressed with Finch Nissan.
