Seraph of Eden Review of Banner Good Samaritan

If you are looking for a Sickle Cell Clinic and stumble upon this place, I am moved to express my condolences before you become a patient. The Sickle Cell Clinic would be a fantastic place if it was run by someone different. This is really the only hospital in AZ that's just for adults with SCD, and they treated us horribly. Other patients there including myself were kicked out of the clinic without a word from Julie Overbey. She just had her assistant give us a vague dismissal letter and posed as if we didn't exist for the final month we were allowed to continue treatment.
Julie Overbey is one of the most childesh, unprofessional, and manipulative nurse practitioners I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Her entire staff only work to protect themselves and do not have the patients well-being in mind.
We are forced to do ridiculous things in order to stay in the program. In order to be treated at all she has forced us to take counseling without our consent and if we refuse has threatened us to cease writing our prescriptions. I have the letter to prove this and so do the rest of the patients who find this obsurd. If you disobey her "rules" she pulls you into a meeting room with two other women to interrogate you. But really, it's not so you can defend yourself, it's so she can manipulate your words and call you a liar the entire time.
I don't know how she still has her job. She's awful. She really is. She stands by Banner's joke of an ER. I was forced to frequent this ER per her rules to stay in the program. A 10hr or more wait, EVERY time. An unprofessional, apathetic, and rude staff. Besides the cafeteria food, stay away from Banner Good Samaritan. Unless you're okay with being a puppet I would advise you not even to entertain this hospital. Anyone who's a patient deserves better than to be treated the way the treat us.
