Be careful who you give your money to! Opened a checking and savings in order to apply for an auto loan. I specifically asked if there were any minimum balance requirements or maintenance fee's and was told "there are none" (which was inaccurate). I THOUGHT MY MONEY WAS SAFE and didn't look at my statements BECAUSE "there were no fees".
LOW AND BEHOLD, after only 6 months of "inactivity" my account was charged a monthly inactivity fee of $5 until my account funds were depleted and eventually they closed the accounts!
I called to speak with a representative to resolve the issue and was told that it was my fault for not checking my statements.
On a side note...wouldn't the first $5 charge be considered "an activity", therefore haulting "inactivity" fees? UNSAFE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION!!!
