There is a lot of superlatives in the hotel sector, but "The leading first class hotel" is a huge exaggeration. After all, we are supposedly dealing with a four-star house here!
The glass facade seems like my room window has not been cleaned for some time, and so makes the self-proclaimed "new landmark" Lucerne is not a very impressive impression. In the lobby and in the hallways in order, who looks closely also finds the one or other leather chair with clear Gebrausspuren.
Maybe I'm just too stupid, but after neither entrance, nor reception from the outside are clearly marked, I walked around the hotel three times.
I had reserved a room of the cheapest category, which in addition to a comfortable bed had cobwebs in the window frame and mold in the cracks of the ceiling panels in the bathroom had to offer. There was not much else in it, two drawers for luggage, wardrobe in which the hangers do not even hang horizontally, empty fridge. No toilet brush, no controllable heating. When I asked for the latter, I was pushed by the building services a mobile radiator with dropped regulator in the room ...
The breakfast is ok, but there is nothing there, which you would not find in a three star hotel.
The blast on the weekend is the nightclub upstairs! The noise from there can be heard in almost every room until 3:30 am Saturday and Sunday morning. In the third of seven floors, the background noise is almost in the room. On the part of the staff one is surprised in this regard. From Room No.1 I was actually moved to part of the building 3, where it was with the noise (see, this room even had a coffee machine), from there after a night due to other occupancy in part of the building 2 - the noise in the same green.
For me a hotel for a maximum of one night during the week. The four stars are absolutely unjustified!
