I just got off the phone with perhaps the most customer-service LACKING person I've ever encountered.
I am just trying to enjoy simple, affordable luxuries during this pandemic, via ordering their cupcakes in UberEats, however they have been listed as 'Unavailable' for nearly TWO WEEKS. I called last week, and a different person answered the phone to tell me that they forgot to turn it on . . . that's odd, but it came back online in the app within 5 minutes of our conversation.
Today, I noticed the same situation, figuring they have, once again, decided making money during a pandemic is not important, I called to inquire about the status of deliveries through the UberEats app. The woman that answered was extremely condescending, talking to me as though I were an idiot or using the app incorrectly, and suggesting I order through their website directly. I told her that the $20 delivery fee you charge is not something I can afford right now, as Uber does not charge so much, and she tells me "Well we have to pay our delivery drivers" as if I didn't already know what the fee was for.
She also told me that their phone lines are for EMERGENCIES ONLY and to email a problem like this next time.
Will there be a next time? I don't think so, because of this horrid service from this rude woman.
You would think they would want to take care of people and speak gently during a time like this, but I guess since they have a mediocre tv show, they think they can treat people however they wish, and NOT service them.
Hope fully you are one of the businesses that go under after all this is over.
