Kimberly Colins Review of Prestman Auto

I came into Prestman Auto after looking at some of their cars online. I liked a few models and wanted to take a look. The sales man has explained that they only sell cars with "salvaged" title. This was quite a surprise to us since they don't disclose it on their website (red flag there). But we decided to stay and listen to the sales representative who explained to us that even though their cars don't have "clean" title they are still worth every penny since they are sold so much below the market value and blue book value and after owing the car for 5 years the value of "clean" and "salvaged" cars becomes pretty much the same. This made sense to us. We looked and test drove several vehicles and liked the cars as well as their "no bullshit" approach. They said they had "zero" flexibility on the price since it is already so below the market value and is the best price that they can offer. We said we want to think about it for one day and continued looking. So far so good.
- The reason I gave it 2 stars is because when we went to other dealerships we found the same cars for exactly the same or sometimes even lower amounts and they were all "clean titles" cars.
We have asked several dealers and were explained that a "salvaged" car needs to be 40% below blue book value and are extremely difficult to trade in or sell since no one knows what really happened to the car.
- So in other words - Prestman Auto was trying to sell us a "salvaged" car for the price of a "clean title" car. The service wasn't bad and the cars they have are nice, however they don't provide value and I personally feel lied to after spending 2 hours with them.
- Please compare prices before buying cars with them, the car we were shown should have been $8000 less.
