I am 23. I went to LRA when i was around 16-17. Aside from losing all of my school relationships from public education this place is a tragedy. I wasn't a subject of physical abuse I'm a bigger guy and was back then so I assume I was more of a "threat" but the smaller kids were. They would use physical methods before assessing a situation. But i was subject to Devo, a form of solitary confinement which was rated in Hours of devo time. I was subject to this multiple times in varying severity. And it was as if I was under arrest and being controlled and told to act a certain way. This is unhealthy for the growth of a teenager. Teens require guidance not conformity. This kind of "therapy" insights more trauma and hatred. I am 23, graduate of High School and I have a degree...it is not thanks to this place.
