Cove Haven is a resort with great potential. I how...

Cove Haven is a resort with great potential. I however was slightly disappointed. Upon arriving after an almost 3 hour drive our rooms were not available. It took about 17 minutes before we received notification that we were assigned a room and it was ready. We however were able to walk over to the Blizzard Chalet which had free hot chocolate. We were informed about the activities available there like snow tubing, snow shoeing, ice skating, and deer feeding. We however were not able to snow tube wed-fri. We were told initially that they were waiting on a snow mobile to carry us up to the top of the hill. The following days we were told that the snow was not packed enough for riders to make it down the hill. We did ice skate on Thursday after overnight snow. The outdoor rink was small and a little rough due to little attention after the snow fall. We didn't skate long. The original assigned room had drops of water falling from the ceiling by the bed, the rail on the way up the stairs seemed dusty, and there was residue on the couch. The mirrors on the ceiling didn't seem to be cleaned much as well. We reported the issues and we were moved to another room a few doors down. That room had water on the wall and ceiling in the pool, massage table, and sauna area. We were told it was due to the temperature and that the walls/ ceiling was sweating. There was a tare in the couch cushion. The Jacuzzi water would start hot but cool before the tub was able to be filled with water resulting in a cold Jacuzzi. Atter playing with it for a long time we were finally able to fill it. We'd add the scolding hot water, turn it off, wait until it heated back up, and turn it on again. Also putting the water on low allowed for the water to remain hot longer for some reason. That issue existed for Wednesday and Thursday night. The shower being cold on Friday morning however prompted reporting the issue. It was reported on Friday morning but the Jacuzzi hasn't been tried it since. The shower was hot Friday afternoon. I loved the fact that there was a pool, sauna, and jacuzzi in the Champagne towers. The rooms could use some updating however in design. Cove Haven has a movie theater that was closed during our entire stay due to reported sound issues. Carriage rides were listed on the daily schedule handed out to residence but cancelled due to the weather. I thought it odd to list it as the weather was what was expected for that day. I loved that they had daily schedules available. Most took place in Spooner's. Playing games with other couples was fun. I enjoyed shooting basketball. I did not know that roller skating was available on the basketball court. There was no staff on that floor when I visited on Wednesday and Thursday. The arcade at Spooner's oddly enough didn't have many games. One race car driving game instead of two was odd. Wish there were more couple games. The Sports Center also could use more and better arcade games. The archery and tennis courts were cool. That center could use some updating. The deer everywhere was very cool. Overall the trip was decent. It's what you make it. The illusionist was vey cool. The comedy show was decent. Overall I had fun but I feel that I was not able to enjoy some of the things I booked the trip for.
