dont bother becoming a member if its for the public sails. they dont really give members priority or better boats. you are better off just showing up on public sail sundays and picking out your own boat vs having them assign you a boat as a member. every time we have gone on public sail sundays and signed up the week before a a member and requested a specific boat we dont get our preference anyway even if the boat is available.
