I can't talk about most of what goes on in LANL but I can say what isn't classified. Like the fact that this national lab since it's creation in the early 1940s it has been closely tied with the US Navy in developing multi-million and/or multi-billion dollar projects like the world's First Three Atomic Bombs. LANL almost every three or four months cunduct safe and highly regulated explosives tests that can be heard for many miles around. LANL has a mile long electron accelerator amoung many other amazing buildings that cunduct safe and highly regulated tests at least 7/12 months of the year. LANL employment comes from all over the world and includes an internship program for Los Alamos High School students only. LANL trains these interns in proper safety precautions and procedures for their areas on LANL property. LANL in 2018 and at least 2019 is owned and managed by a triad of American cooperations that mainly operate in the state of New Mexico. LANL previously was owned and managed by several Californian University's.
