A typical R&C hotel that is run very well. Reception was very helpful, even arranging our pick up to the hotel upon arriving Venice train station. The room was large and appointed in period fashion (not modern, but stylish). The bathroom was large for two people at a time to use and they had extra large towels (including hand towels). Breakfast was included in our rate and was one of the best we had after 3 weeks in IT. Breakfast included real scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, really good yogurt and fresh fruit along with a nice selection of French pastries. Staff was always professional. For some, being near St. Marks is a plus, for us, it s just more tourists to deal with as they stare at you eating as they flow by in droves constantly. The hotel is a few steps from the water taxi and vaporatto docks.
