Palace Station is 100% okay. It is far enough away...

Palace Station is 100% okay. It is far enough away from the strip that you need to get a ride and the whole place smells like smoke. The service is really great and the front desk was extremely polite and friendly. The dining options are a bit underwhelming and it seems like a hotel definitely aimed at an older crowd. The room itself wasn't bad and the bed was comfortable. One thing I did appreciate is that the fitness center is pretty decent and it's free. For the price I would recommend trying to stay somewhere downtown or on the strip instead.
