It is a nice venue, great place for a wedding. I've lived in denver a year now and finally decided to take a trip to the botanic gardens this weekend (I've been begging the hubby to go for months). Some of the most beautiful (to me anyway) parts of the gardens were blocked off during our visit, due to a wedding. I didn't want to check out alpine rock gardens, but was kind of forced to due to wedding setup
Overall it's a nice effort - lots of plants in one place. Not as many tropical and subtropical varieties of plants as I was hoping for - they have a beautiful greenhouse full of tropical plants, including the corpse flower - But you can't get inside! You have to stand out, on the sidewalk, competing with little kids for a view of the plant(s). Its underwhelming for someone who LOVES plants and has a collection of trees and flowers that are decades old.
